Lean Construction Postgraduate Conference (LCPC)
(July 21-22, 2007) - MSU Union - Green Room

An international two-day Lean Construction Postgraduate Conference (LCPC) is planned for July 21-22, 2007.  This 2-day event provides an opportunity for graduate students pursuing Lean Construction research (Masters and/or PhD) to come together in a collaborative and dynamic environment to present and discuss their work with fellow students and leading researchers/practitioners within the field.

Abstracts
Abstracts should be 150-200 words and include no more than five keywords. The abstract should clearly state the current state of the research and clearly identify the areas to be discussed in the workshop. Contributors are encouraged to highlight specific questions/issues that are most pertinent to their research.

Submissions

Presentation abstracts should be sent by email, as a MS Word attachment, to Dr. Tariq Abdelhamid, at
tariq@msu.edu no later than Friday March 16, 2007. Please remember to include your correct email address, postal address, and organisation and full names of supervisors.

Location:
The 2007 Lean Construction Post-Graduate Conference will be held in the Green Room in the MSU union (
http://www.hfs.msu.edu/union/). 

Directions:
The MSU Union is located at the south east corner of the Grand River Ave. and Abbott Rd. intersection (
http://www.hfs.msu.edu/union/about/directions.html)

The MSU Union is a nice walking distance from the Kellogg Center.  The most straightforward path to walk is as follows:  Leave from the Kellogg Center main entrance; turn right onto Harrison Road, then Right onto Michigan Ave.; take Michigan Ave. to Abbott Rd.; turn right, MSU Union Bldg. on left side of road.

Presentations:
There are nine 1-hour blocks reserved for graduate student presentations.  The presentations should be timed for no more than 30 minutes.  A 30-minute question/discussion session will follow each presentation.  This session may be extended at the discretion of the session facilitator.

A session titled" Lean Construction: Past, Present and Future" is reserved for the conference advisers to share their perspectives on what Lean Construction is, its evolution, and where it is heading.

To keep the sessions flowing in a reliable way, a single laptop computer and projector will be available for all blocks.  PowerPoint presentations must be PC-compatible.  No swapping of computers will be permitted during the sessions.

Presenters: Send your presentations to the Summit Chair for preloading on the conference laptop.   Submit your presentation by July 20 by using the service http://www.yousendit.com/ - put tariq@msu.edu as the recipient email.

              Block_1_LASTNAME.ppt.

• If you have links or videos attached to your file, make sure all linked files are in
              the same folder as your presentation.
